Weight Loss Programs and Pills: Is Your Weight Loss Program Safe and Effective?

In this age being ignorant is like committing a crime. With so
much of knowledge around you, following a trend blindly doesn’t
confirm the fact that you are intelligent. But the catch here
is, GO BY RIGHT KNOWLEDGE. No doubt, internet is flooded with
the wrong knowledge and myths that leads you nowhere, but it
isn’t hard enough to figure out the pearl in the ocean. Every
now and then, we see some supplements or pills making tall
claims which they down the line do not seem to validate. We will
soon establish as we go on reading this article that there is
absolutely no substitute for eating healthy and sweating out.

In US, where weight loss has been a part of national
consciousness for three decades, several studies have been done
to evaluate the effectiveness of various weight loss aids. The
major reason why most of these aids escape regulation is because
they are branded as “food supplements” to escape the Drugs and
Cosmetics Act that regulates the sale of medicine. Here are some
findings:-

1) Diet or Slimming Patches: Considered one of the most popular
way to lose weight, it claims to speed up your metabolism by
wearing a slimming patch on your skin. It then breaks down the
fatty tissues. Studies says these patches are neither effective
NOR SAFE. The US Food and Drug Administration(FDA) eventually
seized millions of these products from manufacture last year
because they had terrible side effects.

2) Green Tea Extracts: You have pills under this category which
contain polyphenols. Polyphenols are extracted from green tea
and are thought to be strong antioxidants. These pills failed to
prove their effectiveness too. It is advisable to consult your
doctor if you are taking aspirin or blood thinning medications
and you plan to take some green tea extracts because they may
interfere with blood clotting.

3) Diet Pills with Ephedra: These pills have been banned in US
but they are still available on internet. These pills are
central nervous system stimulant that suppresses appetite.
Generally, manufactures mix ephedra and caffeine which further
increases the risk of high blood pressure.

4) Diet Pills with PPA: PPA stands for phenylpropanolamine.
These pills suppress appetite. They come along with diet plan.
Manufactures of drugs and supplements containing PPA voluntarily
withdrew their products from market after it was found that
these products were associated with strokes.

5) Fat Blockers: Another popular form of weight loss aids which
bit the dust is fat blockers. It also made tall claims that it
will absorb fats from the food you eat and flush it out. A
university of California study found that chitosan (the
fat-binding component of fat blockers) has absolutely no ability
to absorb fats from the food.

Any effective weight loss program without diet pills?
Could anybody tell me an effective & safe weight loss program without using any diet pills or diet supplement. I’m really desperate for a honest answer and not from a scam program.

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7
p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your
initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don’t
eat wheat then you don’t eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you
don’t eat junk food, and you don’t eat biscuits. But your diet is
still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or
to buy special meals or plans.

You lose weight when more calories are used then are taken in (calorie deficit). In order to take in less calories you would change your eating, consume less calories. In order to use more calories you change the way your body uses them, exercise more, increase your metabolism, shift your body mass from fat to muscle, etc. The type of diet that will work for you depends a lot on your personality and lifestyle. Do you like strict rules, do you enjoy the minutia of counting calories, do you eat out a lot, are there foods that you don’t like to eat, are there foods that you can’t live without. Next comes activity, do you exercise, do you want to exercise. How much weight do you want to lose and how quickly. You can set a smaller calorie deficit if you take your time. Do you have any health problems that prevent you from certain kind of foods, activities. You should probably check with your doctor before starting a program. Whatever your specific goal, the basics remain the same, less calories go in then are used will cause a decrease in weight over time.

Our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss program. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight.

If you want to lose some weight, it is not necessary to take natural weight loss pills and supplements. The ugly side effect from taking weight loss pills may outweigh the benefit. The whole idea of a successful weight loss program is to approach it in a realistic manner without compromising your overall health. The following are some of the criteria of a good weight loss program.

    • Without using any diet pills or supplements. Although a few type of diet pills have been approved by FDA but there were cases at a point in time, the FDA have approved a drug that is certified safe for the public but later recalls it back when there is a new finding that the drug is not safe in the long term.

    • The weight loss program is affordable by all and don’t need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and the amount of lose weight will reversed back once you stop consuming it.

    • The weight loss program must prove to be effective in the short and long-term, without need to endure starvation and without any daily athletic workout. (But taking a light exercise every few days is highly recommended).

Since 2005 I have tried reducing my weight using most of the so-called popular weight loss program from the internet but with no avail until I meet the following weight loss program that’s finally worked for me with all the above criteria. I’m confident that it will work for you too.

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Other than Atkins, I would recommend plain old diet and exercise. It’s not so bad if you make eating healthy and doing a little workout every few days part of your lifestyle. Therein lies the difference- diets are temporary, and most people revert to their old fat and lazy ways once they’ve reached a certain point. A lifestyle change requires a more permanent mindset. I get a lot of great info on dieting and weight loss at http://www.dietweightloss.bigbluebaboon.com/ … there are lots of informative articles about losing weight there.
